Interstitial cystitis (IC) is also known as painful bladder syndrome (PBS). It is a recurring discomfort or pain in the bladder and the surrounding pelvic region that can worsen with certain foods, drinks, and bladder filling.

Possible symptoms of interstitial cystitis may include:

  • Urinary Frequency
  • Urgency
  • Pain
  • Pressure in the Bladder or Pelvis
  • Difficulty with Daily Activities Such as Driving and Working
  • Nocturia
  • Pain During Sexual Intercourse
  • Pelvic Floor Dysfunction
